US ELECTION: Twitter flags Trump’s post accusing Democrats of trying to steal election

Twitter has flagged President Donald Trump’s tweet accusing Democrats of trying to steal election. Trump had earlier taken to the micro-blogging platform to accuse Democrats of trying to steal the election.

Democrat candidate, Joe Biden is currently leading in the poll with 223 electoral college votes and 62.8 million popular votes. Trump is trailing behind at 174 electoral college votes and 61.2 million popular votes.

Following the early lead, Biden addressed his supporters in his hometown of Wilmington, Delaware. He called for patience with the collation of the results and declared that he would win big.

In response, Trump said he would address the country, claiming that there was an attempt to steal the election result despite no evidence of such.

He tweeted, “We are up BIG, but they are trying to STEAL the election. We will never let them do it. Votes cannot be cast after the polls are closed!

“I will be making a statement tonight. A big WIN!”

However, Twitter immediately restricted the post with a warning that claims contained in the tweet might be misleading.
