The steering committee inaugurated by Governor Samuel Ortom to midwife a youth summit today unveiled a theme and Logo for the proposed summit during a meeting with the Governor, his Deputy and Council Chairmen of the 23 local government areas.
Chairman of the steering committee, Mr. Dave Ogbole and secretary, Terence Kuanum, unveiled the theme “The Future is Here” and the Logo before the Governor and other government officials.
Governor Ortom during the meeting, approved Wednesday, November 25th to Friday, November 27th for the summit.
He stated that 50 delegates each would be nominated from the 23 local government areas of the state to participate in the summit.
Deputy Governor, Engineer Benson Abounu said the idea of a youth summit by Governor Ortom was divine, saying the Governor had always foreseen such needs before many.
Mr. Dave Ogbole had before the unveiling of the logo and theme, presented budget estimates for the summit and objectives.
