The Attack on H E Dr Samuel Ortom; A Rekindled Demonstration of Threat to National Security.

.The Ochetoha K’Idoma Youth Wing (World Wide) wish to Condemn in strong terms the attack on His Excellency Governor Samuel Ortom the Executive Governor of Benue state today being 14/3/2021.As the chief security officer the state, the compromise of his security depicts a deliberate attempt to render Benue unsafe for all citizens; a situation that will affect food production and jeopardize food security in the nation as farmers and other citizens will be more terrified than ever.Its unfortunate that the security situation of the nation has continued to deteriorate, we call on all security formations in the Benue to rise up and restore the confidence of the people in the Nigerian state by bringing these perpetrators to book.We as a state have been true enough hard times that have left the citizenry in a state of dilemma as whether or not they can hinge their confidence on the capacity of the security architecture of this nation.As a people we have noticed keenly that it is not the first time a sitting Chief Executive of a state is being attacked; these acts has however not received serious operational decisions to restore the confidence of the masses in the capacities of our security agents.In view of the aforementioned, we wish to demand as citizens of this great nation;1. that the command chain of all security out fits in the state swing into action to unravel the mystery behind the attack on the life of our governor His Excellency Dr Samuel Ortom the Executive Governor of Benue State.2. that all gatherings where the governor is meant to attend be given proper security coverage including an aerial cover to ensure his safety.3. that more political will be demonstrated by the FG to bring an end to insecurity in the entire nation.4. that the Nigerian Air force demonstrates capacity by using aerial patrols to uncover the hide outs of criminal groups there by restoring the confidence of the masses in the nations security architecture.Our prayers are always with the first family and we believe that God in his mercies will His Excellency Dr Samuel Ortom, his family, cabinet and all well meaning Benue citizens from harms way.Comrade Obande Gideon ObandePresident, Ochetoha K’Idoma Youth Wing (World Wide) & SA to the Benue State Governor on Health.
