We Shall Not Tolerate Any Form of Sabotage As Regards Zone C Governorship 2023; Kick Start Your Campaigns and Give Us a Direction.

Benue state since her creation have had elected Governors from the Zone A and Zone B senatorial zone with all federal constituencies in both zones producing elected governors except “Gwer-East/ Gwer-West” federal constituencies.

With a consistent rotation of the office of Governor between Zone A and B, it has become imperative as young people to lend our voice of reasoning to our elders.

It is therefore not encouraging that amidst the crusade for a Zone C governor by BRM and other interest groups, we are yet to have a practical show of readiness to aspire for the post of the Governor of Benue state regardless of the of the rumors of aspirations across the various political lines.

In view of the significance of this crusade, we wish to state unequivocally that all aspirants for the post of governor begin to show practical commitment and make known their aspiration in the public space as we are already counting down to the 2023 election which INEC has scheduled the presidential election for February.

We anticipate that our ruling political class in PDP, APC, APGA, etc shall present not more than one(1) candidate; this shall serve as an indicator of our readiness to clinch party tickets.

Any option short of fielding a single candidate shall be an indication to us as a successor generation that our predeceasing generation is totally “NOT READY” to clinch the ticket.

We therefore wish to advise those whose purpose of aspiring is to use it as a conduit pipe to make “money” or negotiate for the office of the “Deputy Governor” to sheath their ambition and cue behind co-aspirants who showcases zeal and readiness or get set to phase resistance.

We appeal to our political leaders across party lines from zone C to show us capacity and prevail over having the zone field more than a candidate; let the interest of the zone surpass every personal interest as “United we Stand and Divided we fall”.

We look forward to having zone candidates declare their intention between April-August 2021 so as to give enough room for dialogue and unification of interest.

Once more we salute the Benue Rebirth Movement under the leadership of AVM Monday Morgan (Rtd) for the novel approach towards ensuring that the yearnings of the zone C people is met; it is not yet UHURU and “what must be done, must be done”
