Ochetoha K’Idoma Youth Wing World Wide Calls on Idoma Elites to Show Capacity and Take Over Benue Burnt Bricks and Star Cement Company, Igumale During the Privatisation Exercise.

The privatisation of government enterprises by H E Dr Samuel Ortom is a deliberate step towards private sector involvement with the soul aim of revamping the economy of the state .

Keeping in mind that the Benue State Privatisation and commercialisation law 2010 was passed with the view of giving the private sector a lead into revamping moribund companies; this have been foreseen as a credible alternative.

The move by the executive governor of Benue state rather presents to us the Idoma nation the opportunity to show capacity cum unity and demonstrate coherence via taking up the “Benue Burnt Bricks and the Star Cement Company Igumale” with the aim of creating jobs for the teaming youths of zone C.

It will be rather unfortunate and a disgrace if our elites fold their hands and watch people from other geographical climes take over these companies.

We call on all or leaders, technocrats, local governments Councils, business Moguls etc to rise to this challange; we must possess our possessions as a people.

In view of the aforementioned, the Ochetoha K’Idoma Youth Wing shall be setting up a “Consultative Committee” to deliberately approach some of our prominent sons and daughters to take up this eminent challenge.

Its imperative to take a bold step now and avoid a scenario where we cry out for marginalisation when the process would have been concluded.
