Death Trap: Benue Reverend Father Escapes Snakebite In His Toilet’s Closet…
A Catholic Priest from Benue State, Reverend Father Oche Dom Santa last night escaped being bitten by a snake which reportedly hid in the closet of his toilet’s soakaway at his official residence at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Orokam, Ogbadibo Local Government area of the state.
Rev Santa, in a Facebook post Thursday afternoon said he saw the big snake in his toilet’s sitting Wednesday night, but could not kill it before it escaped back into the toilet’s chambers through the drainage pipe.
The Reverend Father locked the toilet up and sprayed an insecticide at any openings he could find in the toilet and around the chambers outside the building that night, and prayed over the incident.
While walking around the parish house in the early hours of today, he found the crawling venomous animal dead in a hole at the back of the house.
Narrating the story to Blogger, King Apeh Peterhot of Sky News Nigeria, Fr Santa advised the public to regularly check their toilets’ sittings, especially at nights, and apply effective insecticide to checkmate such dangerous occurrences.
