Governor Samuel Ortom has expressed deep pains over the passage of Mrs Judith Obla, wife of Chief Godwin Obla, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, SAN.
The Governor praised the exemplary lifestyle of the deceased who died after a protracted illness and encouraged the family not to lose hope in God’s faithfulness.
He stated this Thursday, March 24th, 2022 when he paid a condolence visit to the former Chairman of Otukpo Local Government Council at his Abuja residence to commiserate with the family over the death of his wife.
Governor Ortom described the late Judith as a great woman whom he was fond of saying her warm reception would be greatly missed.
He said that though her death was painful, she would be remembered by her examplary life style especially her passion for the plight of the downtrodden.
The Governor prayed to God to comfort the family and grant them the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
In his brief response, Chief Obla informed the Governor that his late wife lived an eventful life and had passion for the wellbeing of the people, noting that all was done to save her from the protracted illness but it was her time to go.
He expressed gratitude to the Governor for his show of love and care for the family, especially during their trying moment.
Governor Ortom was accompanied on the visit by the member representing Gboko/Tarka Federal Constituency, Dr John Dyegh, Commissioner for Finance and Economic Planning, Hon. David Olofu, Principal Special Assistant, Dr. James Anbua, Hon Steve Amase, Principal Private Secretary, Hon. Abrahams Kwaghngu and other senior aides.
