Ebony Naija: Sir, we read in the news yesterday that you and Former Governor Samuel Ortom took the present admin of Benue State to court. What is it all about?
ENGR ABOUNU : To the best of my knowledge I have no personal issues as Benson Abounu that would warrant me to take the present administration to court. If there is any controversy on policy issues of the past administration that needs to be addressed, it obviously should concern the out gone Executive Council that made decisions and not Benson Abounu as a person.
Ebony Naija: They said it is about recovery of vehicles and property.
ENGR ABOUNU: Well I have not made away with Service Vehicles ie pool and project vehicles. I went away with vehicles allocated to me for the 8 years I served as authorised by the Executive Council.
EBONY NAIJA : Govt has set up a committee on the recovery of vehicles. How do you look at that?
ENGR ABOUNU : Clearly Govt has every right to set up committees to look into issues so I have no quarrel with that. You need to know the terms of reference and it is the outcome that matters.
