ACCEPTANCE SPEECH by HON. GEORGE ALLI FOR PDP BENUE STATE CHAIRMAN

 

Ladies and Gentlemen, esteemed members of the press, party faithful, and distinguished guests,

 

I stand before you today with a profound sense of humility and gratitude as I accept the call to contest for the position of Benue State Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP). The overwhelming show of support from various groups within our party has truly touched my heart.

 

The United PDP Group (U-PDP) issued a two-week ultimatum on April 5th, 2024, urging me to indicate my interest in contesting for the PDP Benue State Chairman position. I bow to the collective will of the party members and stakeholders who have expressed their confidence in my ability to lead our great party in Benue State.

 

To the members of the U-PDP, THE BENUE PDP DISABILITY COALITION, THE FORUM OF UNITED PDP COUNCILLORS, ZONE C PDP FRONTERS, COLLATION OF CONCERNED OTUKPO PDP YOUTHS AND THE FORMER PDP LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL CHAIRMEN, I extend my deepest gratitude for your unwavering support and endorsement. Your belief in my leadership and your commitment to the ideals of our party inspire me to take on this new challenge with determination and purpose.

 

The events of the past few days has further straighten my love and commitment to our party. As I accept this call, my vision for the PDP in Benue State is one of unity, progress, and prosperity for all. Together, we will work tirelessly to reposition our party as the foremost political force in our state and to advance the interests of every Benue citizen.

 

I recognize the importance of grassroots mobilization and engagement in achieving our party’s objectives. I will prioritize outreach efforts to every corner of our state, listening to the concerns of our grassroots members and working collaboratively to address their needs and aspirations.

 

I am fully aware of the challenges that lie ahead, but I am also confident in our collective ability to overcome them.

 

In conclusion, I humbly accept the challenge and the responsibility to contest for the State Chairman of our great party, the PDP. With your unwavering support and the grace of Almighty God, I am confident that if given the opportunity together, we will write a new chapter of success and achievement for the PDP in Benue State.
