In recognition of his contribution to peace, justice, security and development of Benue State and Nigeria at large, the Ecumenical Centre for Justice and Peace has honoured the Federal Commissioner of the Public Complaints Commission in Benue State, James Oche.

At an event held recently in Gboko Benue State, Mr. Oche received the Centre’s “Prestigious Award” for what was described as his unequalled commitment to peace and justice as well as security and development.

Represented by Mr Terkula Kpaakpa Deputy Director Investigation, Oche described the award as an uncommon honour to be treasured for a lifetime, citing its significance and value, especially that it emanated from the renowned Rt. Rev. Dr. Nathan Nyom, the Bishop Emeritus of the Makurdi Diocese of the Church of Nigeria, Anglican Communion and the Superior of the Ecumenical Centre for Justice and Peace.

Presenting the award, Bishop Nyom described Oche as a selfless gentleman whose track record of leadership achievements were exemplary and inspiring. He expressed hopes that the award will spur Oche and other young men to greater achievements.
