The Commandant-General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Dr Ahmed Audi, has ordered the immediate detention of officers allegedly involved in the extortion of N5.2 million from some youths travelling through Ekiti State.
The disciplinary action followed a directive from the Minister of Interior, Dr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, who on Tuesday called for a full investigation into the disturbing incident captured in a viral video.
