The PDP’s official position, as explained by its Deputy National Legal Adviser, is that while there have been numerous public accusations of anti-party activities against Nyesom Wike, the party cannot take action against him unless a formal petition with supporting evidence is submitted to its disciplinary committee.
In essence, the party’s stance is that a formal, evidence-based process is required for punishment, and public allegations alone are not sufficient to trigger a disciplinary action.
This is the official reason why Wike has not been sanctioned by the party despite the ongoing controversies.
