JOSEPH TARKA UNIVERSITY PROMOTES 21 NEW PROFESSORS
The Governing Council of Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi (JoSTUM), formerly Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi, has approved the promotion of 21 academics to the rank of professor.
The decision was taken at the council’s 77th meeting, held from August 18 to 20, 2025.
Alongside the new professors, 21 senior lecturers were elevated to associate professors, while others moved up to senior lecturer and lecturer II ranks.
According to the institution, the promotions followed recommendations from its Appointments and Promotions Committee.
