Benue: TINUBU FLAGS OFF WURUKUM FLYOVER, MAKURDI-9TH MILE DUALIZATION

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Saturday flagged off the construction of the Wurukum Flyover and the dualization of the Makurdi–9th Mile highway, a $950m project funded by China Exim Bank.

Represented by Governor Hyacinth Alia, Tinubu described the flyover as a gift to Benue, saying it will ease traffic, boost trade, and improve agricultural transport across the region.

Minister of Works, Dave Umahi, who led the ceremony, said the 260km project is one of the administration’s largest legacy works and assured of quality and timely delivery.

Governor Alia thanked the President for “one of many gifts” to Benue, noting that the dualization will transform connectivity and stimulate economic growth in Nigeria’s food basket.
