In a fiery new statement, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Nyesom Wike has delivered a blistering message to the former presidential candidate, promising to ensure his resounding defeat in 2027. This comes amidst ongoing political jostling and animosity between the two Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) heavyweights, a rift that continues to capture national attention.
Wike’s words are a striking display of his political influence and his deep-seated animosity toward Atiku. He not only referenced the past, alluding to the 2023 elections and the “clowns” who broke party laws, but also doubled down on his claim to control Rivers State’s political destiny. His bold promise to limit Atiku’s votes in Rivers to less than 5% once again is a powerful challenge, suggesting he is far from done in his political battle with the former Vice President.
“You see those clowns were calling Tambuwal ‘Hero of convention’ where they broke the party laws. But we become the Hero of Democracy by making sure that Atiku lost in the real election. He didn’t get 5% in Rivers State in 2023, I can assure you he won’t get 5% again in 2027. His defeat will be resounding,” HE Nyesom Wike said.
Wike’s declaration raises a compelling question: Will his political muscle be as formidable in 2027 as he claims? Or is this just another round of political bluster?
