A retired senior military officer, Major Emmanuel Victor Agada (Rtd), was on Saturday laid to rest in his hometown, Otukpoicho, in Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.
The late Major Agada, who passed away at the age of 74, was described as a gallant, disciplined, and patriotic officer who served the Nigerian Army with distinction, rising to the rank of Major before retiring from active service.
Family members, friends, former colleagues, and members of the community gathered to bid farewell to the late officer, whose life was marked by selfless service, integrity, and dedication to the unity of Nigeria.
Speaking during the burial, mourners eulogized Major Agada as a man of honour who lived a life of impact and commitment both in and out of uniform.
His passing, they noted, marks the end of an era for a soldier who served his nation with pride and defended its unity with unwavering loyalty.
