“I’m Tired of Moving Motions Without Results” — Hon. Blessing Onuh Decries Rising Herders’ Killings in Benue
The member representing Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency, Honourable Lady Blessing Onuh, has expressed deep frustration over the incessant killings by suspected herders within her constituency and across Benue State.
Hon. Onuh, who has consistently raised motions and sponsored resolutions in the National Assembly calling for urgent government intervention, lamented that despite her efforts, the killings have continued unabated with little or no tangible result from the authorities.
She described the situation as heartbreaking, stating that it is disheartening to see innocent lives lost daily while communities are left in fear and displacement.
According to her, “I am tired of moving motions without results. Our people are being slaughtered in their homes and on their farmlands, yet nothing concrete is being done to end these senseless killings.”
The lawmaker urged the federal government and security agencies to take decisive action to protect lives and property, emphasizing that Benue people deserve to live in peace and dignity.
She further called on leaders at all levels to unite in demanding lasting solutions to the state’s recurring security crisis.
