Engineer Benson Abounu, former Deputy Governor of Benue State, has extended warm congratulations to His Royal Majesty, Agaba-Idu Dr. Elaigwu Odogbo Obagaji John, CON, the Och’Idoma of the Idoma Kingdom and Chairman of the Idoma Area Traditional Council, on his official unveiling and installation as the Chancellor of the Federal University of Otueke, Bayelsa State.
Engineer Abounu described the appointment as a well-deserved honour that reflects the Och’Idoma’s outstanding leadership qualities, integrity, and lifelong commitment to public service, peace, and national development. He noted that the recognition further underscores the increasing relevance of traditional institutions in promoting unity, education, and progressive governance across Nigeria.
According to him, the installation of the Och’Idoma as Chancellor is not only a proud moment for the Idoma Nation and Benue State, but also a significant milestone for the Federal University of Otueke, which will benefit immensely from his wealth of experience, wisdom, and statesmanship.
