A 40-year-old Nigerian man, Adedapo Adegbola, has pleaded guilty to m¥rdering his ex-girlfriend, 23-year-old university student Steph Irons, after their relationship ended. The k+lling occurred on October 21 at Steph’s home in Mapperley, Nottingham.
Steph’s colleagues became alarmed after receiving a series of “concerning messages” and alerted the police. Officers arrived to find her in the living room with fatal knife w%unds, and she was pronounced d+ad at the scene.
Adegbola fled immediately, leaving behind blo%d-stained items, and traveled through several towns before eventually surrendering to authorities.
Adegbola appeared at Nottingham Crown Court, where he pleaded guilty to m¥rder and was remanded in custody ahead of his sentencing on February 5.
