A Nigerian Army officer, Lt. J.O. Ejeh of the Amor Corps, Nigerian Army Armoured Corps (NAAC), has been confirmed dead following a deadly ambush by Boko Haram insurgents in Northern Nigeria.
EbonyNaija MediaBlog learnt that The tragic incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday, March 6, 2026, when troops of the 21 Special Armoured Brigade were reportedly attacked by Boko Haram fighters during an operation in the region. The ambush led to the loss of several soldiers and senior officers.
Among those killed was Lt. J.O. Ejeh, a promising young officer from Ipari in Otukpa, Ogbadibo Local Government Area.
The news of his death has thrown Ipari community and the entire Otukpa area into mourning, as residents described the late officer as dedicated and patriotic in his service to the nation.
Condolences have continued to pour in for the bereaved family, Ipari community, and the Nigerian Army, over the painful loss.
Lt. Ejeh is remembered for his courage and commitment to defending the country against insurgency.
