Rt. Hon. George Alli, the Executive Chairman of Otukpo Local Government Council, this weekend, commissioned a public convenience donated by the Councilor representing Otobi-Akpa in the Otukpo Legislative Assembly, Hon. Enokela Alegwu, at Otobi Market.
Hon. Enokela Alegwu is the Leader of the Otukpo Legislative Assembly. The Otukpo Chairman, while addressing the people during the commissioning ceremony, urged the people to take proper care of the facility, especially the hygienic aspect of it, to avoid contamination and diseases.
Hon. Alli also addressed security concerns within the district and charged them to constantly clear their road paths to improve visibility and reduce incidences that aids criminal elements who take advantages of thick bushes and forests in the communities to perpetrate crime.
The projects donated by Hon. Enoch Alegwu includes; a female and male restroom block, a water well and a shop at the market. The project also meet the Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) requirements of World Health Organization (WHO) to stop open defecation and prevent corella outbreak in the area.
Dignitaries at the event includes Hon. John Uttuh AKA John Paul, the Zone C Youth Leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Hon. Idah Ben Okopi, Councillor representing Ewulo Ward, Hon. Emmanuel Ogoh, Councillor representing Otukpo Township ward one, Hon. James Akpala, councilor representing Allan Ward, Hon. Igoche Ajaka Ikwue, the Adviser to the Chairman on Security and Hon. Frank Rich Ogbole, the supervisory councillor on Education, amongst others.
