BENUE COMMISSIONER ORNGUGA: I’VE FORGIVEN THOSE WHO OPPOSED MY NOMINATION
Newly sworn-in Benue State Commissioner, Prof. Yangien Ornguga, says he has forgiven those who fought against his nomination.
Speaking to his Kwande constituents in Makurdi after his confirmation, Ornguga said he deliberately ignored the petitions and online criticisms against him, stressing that he intends to serve as “commissioner for all.”
“I logged out of Facebook during that period. I’m not against anyone, all that is in the past. My doors remain open,” he said, urging supporters not to bear grudges and to instead prepare for the 2027 elections by securing voter cards.
Also addressing the gathering, Kwande West lawmaker, Hon. Thomas Dugeri, cautioned locals against being lured into contesting against Governor Hyacinth Alia in 2027, saying their focus should rather be on the long-eluded Benue North West Senate seat.
