Child trafficking in otukpo Benue state

a young man identified as ochiri hilary, popularly known as ochiri,who claimed to be living behind the ochidoma palace here in otukpo,was today paraded by the homeland defence and members of Docare foundation for child trafficking. The man is said to have been sending children within the ages of 12 and 16 years to some of his cohorts in ibadan for prostitution after which they will send them over to ghana or any of the country for further prostitution.

Mr ochiri who accepted all the charges against him by some of the girls that where rescued by the homeland defence,he said this is how he has been surviving and there is a woman who is also into this business with him here in otukpo,infact according to him,the woman introduced him to the business and he have been into it for some years now.

After series of interrogation,Mr ochiri was presented to the chief,ochotukpa and the chief inteerrogated him and handed him over to the police for onward investigation since he agreed that some of his business partners are still at ibadan.

Speaking with ebonynaija crew one of the victim,told the media that ,after taking her away from home,it was as if some kind of ritual was done on her and she started acting as if she was mentally derayed . We will be bringing you more updated. Pls leave your comments below
