Honourable Lady Blessing Onyeche Onuh, the Member of the House of Representatives representing Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency, has called on the good people of Otukpo/Ohimini to embrace progressive engagement and shun bitter politics as the 2027 electioneering period approaches.
Onuh urged constituents, political stakeholders and supporters across the constituency to focus on issues that promote peace, unity, development and the collective interests of the people rather than engaging in personal attacks, divisive rhetoric or unnecessary political hostility.
According to her, political differences should not be allowed to destroy the bonds of friendship, family and community that exist among the people of Otukpo/Ohimini.
She encouraged political actors to engage one another constructively, present their ideas and programmes to the people, and allow voters to make informed choices based on competence, character, performance and vision.
The lawmaker further stressed the need for all stakeholders to prioritize the development and security of the constituency, noting that politics should be a means of advancing the welfare of the people and not a tool for creating division.
She therefore appealed to the people of Otukpo/Ohimini Federal Constituency to remain peaceful, united and focused on building a better future for the constituency as political activities gradually gather momentum.
