Marwa’s Historic Visit to the Och’idoma

Chairman of the NDLEA, Brig-Gen Mohamed Buba Marwa (Retd) was at the palace of the Och’idoma, His Royal Majesty, Agaba-Idu, Elaigwu Odogbo Obagaji John, in Otukpo, Benue State.
The anti-drug Czar was in Benue to lay the foundation stone for the NDLEA Area Command in Igumale, Ado Local Government.

 

The NDLEA Command is one of the numerous projects attracted by the Hon. Member representing Ado/Ogbadibo/Okpokwu Federal Constituency, Dr Francis Ottah Agbo to his constituency.

Brig-Gen Marwa was accompanied to the Och’idoma palace by the Lawmaker popularly known as the Ozigizaga and Moving Train of Enone.

The NDLEA boss received blessings from the Royal Father, who said he has always admired Marwa since his days as a military Administrator/Governor of Borno and Lagos respectively, and had wanted to meet him to draw from his wealth of knowledge.

The Och’idoma expressed happiness at the coincidence that Marwa he had longed to meet for years had now sought him and come visit him in his palace.

He said though the visit was at the shortest notice, he will arrange to meet with the former military administrator again soon, to tap from his wealth of experience.

The Och’idoma who was honoured with the Ambassador of the War Against Drug Abuse (WADA), which was launched by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2021, explained that he is happy to be so decorated as he has a lot to say about the negative effect of Narcotic drug trafficking and abuse.

The Royal father also showered encomium on Dr. Ottah Agbo for reconstructing the 20 kilometer Igumale -Ulayi -Ijigban- Okpokwu Bridge Road and for attracting other legacy projects to his constituency. While describing the Parliamentarian as outstanding and committed to the cause of his people, the Och’Idoma also prayed God to bless Dr. Ottah Agbo in his political adventure.

Dr. Ottah Agbo who doubles as Chairman, Narcotic Drugs Committee and Spokesman of the House Minority Caucus, explained that he had to take the NDLEA boss to the Och’idoma as a mark of respect to the Royal Father.

The NDLEA Chair said his visit to the palace was important because he couldn’t have left BENUE South without paying courtesy call on the Paramount Ruler.
While describing Dr. Ottah Agbo as a dogged and committed fighter, Gen Marwa stressed that the Feed Back Lawmaker is a critical stakeholder in the War Against Drug Abuse (WADA)!
