In his quest to make health facilities accessable to all, the Executive Chairman, Otukpo Local Government Council, Chief George Alli, today distributed some hospital equipment to some clinics in the local government area.
The equipment were donated to the council by a Non Governmental Organization known as WISH PROJECT in conjunction with Plan Parenthood Federation of Nigeria.
Represented by his Supervisory Councillor for Health and Human Services, Ene Yusuf. Chief Alli who thanked the two organizations said the aim was to ameliorate the suffering of the people.
Alli made the disclosure today during the presentation of some family planning kits to the representative of the Plan Parenthood Federation of Nigeria (PPFN) at the local government clinic, opposite police headquarters, Otukpo.
He said the items would be equitably distributed to all the local government owned clinics stressing that he was starting from the central clinic in Otukpo.
The Chairman charged the operators of the benefiting clinics not divert the kits and equipment saying that he would personally monitor the utilization of the items.
Responding, the representative of PPFN in the local government, Ada Abbah who was visibly elated while receiving the items commended the ” Capacity Chairman” for living up to expectations.
She promised that the received items would be judiciously put to use to the benefits of mankind and to the glory of God.
