The Ochetoha K’Idoma Youth Wing world wide yesterday marked the international youth day with a visit to H E Engr Benson Abounu the Deputy Governor of Benue State in a bid to discuss the economic and political emancipation of the Benue South senatorial zone.

Impressed with the readiness of the deputy governor who has taken the bold step of consultation towards contesting the number 1 seat of the state, we were also amazed with the resume of his excellency considering his robust experience as a technocrat, public servant and a political gladiator since 19992.

As a former Special Adviser to Gov Aper Aku, two(2) time commissioner under Governor George Akume, Chairman of several boards and a two(2) time deputy governor; it is clear the requisite knowledge and tact to advance the state is in place.

The need for unity and strong alliance was not left out as we believe that we are “Greater together”.

The economic emancipation of the zone was also discussed and the role of the youths in this fit cannot be emphasised, H E Engr Benson Abounu the deputy governor lauded the impact made so far by the youth wing and gave his blessings for the “Idoma Youth Economic and Political Summit” scheduled for September.

The political consultation by the Ochetoha K’Idoma Youth Wing towards the actualization of the 2023 Zone C governorship just began.

In the coming days we shall interact with the leadership of political parties and all aspirants; Unity is our watch and it will be “#IdomaAboveSelf”.
