Meet Mickykrest: The Rising Afrobeat Star from Benue

 

Olah Michael Enokela, popularly known by his stage name Mickykrest, is one of Benue’s fast-rising Afrobeat sensations with a unique voice and refreshing sound. Born in Ugbokolo, Okpokwu Local Government Area, he hails from Adoka in Otukpo LGA and grew up in Odessassa, Ugbokolo.

A proud son of Idoma land, Mickykrest has steadily carved a niche for himself in the music scene, bringing originality and passion to every record. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture (B.A.) from Prince Abubakar Audu University, Anyigba, Kogi State.

His professional music journey officially kicked off in 2023 with the release of his debut single, “Holiday”, produced by the renowned Koboko on the Track. Since then, he has continued to captivate listeners with his distinctive vocals, creativity, and dedication to the Afrobeat genre.

Currently based in Abuja (FCT), Mickykrest is single and fully focused on building his career, representing Benue and Idoma culture with pride. With his exceptional talent and growing fanbase, he is set to become one of Nigeria’s next big stars in Afrobeat.
