Honourable Desmond Anthony Ameh, House of Assembly aspirant for Ohimini State Constituency, has strongly condemned the gruesome killing of several persons in Anwule, Oglewu, Ohimini Local Government Area of Benue State, following an attack by suspected herders on Tuesday.
Hon. Ameh described the incident as barbaric, inhumane, and totally unacceptable, calling on security agencies to act swiftly to bring the perpetrators to justice. He further sympathized with the bereaved families and the entire Anwule community over the tragic loss of innocent lives.
He emphasized that the continuous attacks on peaceful communities in Ohimini and other parts of Benue State must not be allowed to continue unchecked, urging both state and federal authorities to intensify efforts in protecting rural dwellers and ensuring lasting peace in the area.
“The killing of innocent citizens in Anwule is heartbreaking. I totally condemn this evil act and call for immediate action to prevent further bloodshed,” Hon. Ameh stated.
He also prayed for the repose of the souls of the departed and for God to comfort those who have lost loved ones in the unfortunate incident.
