Ambassador Lilian Adoyi-Ofiebor Declares Intention to Contest 2027 House of Representatives Election Under APC

Ambassador Hon. Lilian Adoyi-Ofiebor has officially declared her intention to contest the 2027 election into the Federal House of Representatives to represent the Otukpo–Ohimini Federal Constituency under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The declaration was made public via her social media platforms, where she addressed the people of Otukpo and Ohimini with a message of unity, service, and commitment to grassroots development.

In her statement, Ambassador Adoyi-Ofiebor expressed deep humility and gratitude as she announced her decision to seek the mandate of the people. She described herself as a proud daughter of the constituency—born of Ohimini and firmly rooted in Otukpo—whose life and career have been shaped by the values, struggles, and aspirations of the people.

She highlighted her educational journey from Benue State to advanced studies abroad, noting that her experiences as a humanitarian, hospitality expert, and advocate for community development have prepared her for the task of national representation. Through her non-governmental organization, the Olohi Ga Eh Foundation, she has championed women and girl-child empowerment, provided scholarships, supported skills acquisition, created direct employment, and assisted young people in accessing career opportunities, including professional sports engagements abroad.

Despite these efforts, Ambassador Adoyi-Ofiebor acknowledged that the constituency continues to face serious challenges, including disunity, youth unemployment, cultism and insecurity, gaps in healthcare and education, poor infrastructure, water scarcity, and limited economic opportunities. She emphasized that these challenges are daily realities for the people and require bold, compassionate, and results-driven leadership.

According to her, her decision to run is driven by a strong belief that effective representation at the National Assembly can transform these challenges into opportunities for sustainable development.

She explained her choice of the APC as her political platform, citing the party’s commitment to national development, economic reform, and inclusive governance. She noted that the APC’s vision aligns with her belief in grassroots empowerment, unity, discipline, and strategic partnerships with government, the private sector, and community leaders as pathways to development.

If elected, Ambassador Adoyi-Ofiebor pledged to prioritize:

  • Youth empowerment through skills training, enterprise support, and small business incentives
  • Improved access to education, with special focus on scholarships and girl-child advancement
  • Enhanced healthcare services for women, children, and the elderly
  • Job creation through tourism, hospitality, and local industry promotion
  • Strengthened security through collaboration with law enforcement and community stakeholders
  • Infrastructure development, including roads, water supply, and rural electrification

She described her aspiration as one beyond occupying a seat in Abuja, stating that she seeks to be a true partner in progress—one who amplifies the voices of the people and works tirelessly to build a constituency where hope, opportunity, and prosperity are shared by all.

With faith in God and confidence in the people of Otukpo–Ohimini, Ambassador Lilian Adoyi-Ofiebor called for prayers, support, and votes, expressing optimism that together, the constituency can be transformed into a beacon of unity, development, and opportunity.
